Online Quran Classes UK

Why Families in the UK Choose Online Quran Classes

The United Kingdom has close to 4 million Muslims. Many families face the same problems:

Parents want their children to read the Quran correctly and to love it. What they need is a teacher who has time, who stays the same, and who gives one child full attention.

Online classes fix all of these at once. There is always a tutor, because we have many of them across each UK time slot. Lessons are steady because they happen at the same time each week, in your own home. Rain or traffic does not matter. And each child gets full attention, because each Salam Campus class is 1 student and 1 teacher. It is never a group.

For adults, online classes help even more. Reverts (new Muslims), working people and university students can all study in private. So can parents who never had the chance to learn. They learn at their own speed. They do not have to sit in a class of 8-year-olds. Wherever you live in the UK, the class comes to you.

  • The nearest mosque class is full
  • A good private tutor is hard to find
  • The drive across town after school takes up the whole evening

Online Quran Academy in the United Kingdom

Salam Campus is an online Quran academy for students in all parts of the United Kingdom. We teach in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, in cities and in the countryside. Our teachers are trained in Quran reading and Tajweed (the rules for reading the Quran the right way). Before teaching anyone, each teacher is interviewed, tested on their reading and watched while teaching.

Our courses have a written plan and clear steps. They are not open-ended lessons. Here is how it works:

It is the order of a good school, with the ease of learning at home.

  • Each student takes a short test at the start
  • We place the student at the right level
  • The student moves up when they are ready
  • Parents get a note after each lesson and a report each month

Learn Quran Online in the United Kingdom with Tajweed

To read the Quran correctly, you must read it with Tajweed. So each reading course at Salam Campus starts with it. Each rule is learnt on real verses. You practise it until it comes naturally. From the first lesson, your tutor teaches:

Some UK students can already read but are not sure of their Tajweed. They start with a short test. The tutor finds the rules that need work and builds the plan around them. This is much faster than starting again from the beginning. Students who finish the course read smoothly and correctly from any page of the Mushaf (copy of the Quran).

  • Where each letter is made in the mouth and throat
  • The difference between heavy and light sounds
  • The rules of noon and meem sakinah (a noon or meem with no vowel)
  • How long to stretch each madd (long vowel)
  • The right places to pause

Quran Classes for Kids in the United Kingdom

Children learn best in short, lively and regular lessons. So our kids' classes are 30 minutes long. They run 2 to 5 times a week. The tutor shares a Qaida or Mushaf on screen. The tutor uses colour-coded Tajweed marks and sets small goals each lesson. Beginners start with Noorani Qaida (a first book for Arabic letters and sounds). Children who already know their letters move straight to reading.

After-school and weekend slots are the most popular with UK families. We can book brothers and sisters one after the other. Parents are welcome to sit in. Each class ends with a short note on what was covered and what to practise. With 3 classes a week, a child can usually go from the alphabet to reading the Quran within a year.

Online Quran Classes for Adults Across the UK

Many of our UK students are adults. They come with different goals:

Adult lessons are private. We plan them around your work and family. They are never mixed with children's classes.

Classes run from early morning to late evening, 7 days a week. A doctor on rotation in Leeds can find a time. So can a student in Edinburgh or a parent in Cardiff. You learn at your own speed. The tutor shapes each lesson around your goal, not a fixed plan.

  • Some are learning the Arabic letters for the first time
  • Some can read but want to fix their reading
  • Some want to memorise the Quran
  • Some want to learn Tafsir (the meaning and explanation of the Quran)
  • Some want to learn Arabic as a language

Female Quran Teachers for Students in the United Kingdom

Many UK families want a female tutor. This is often for daughters, for mothers who study at home, and for younger boys. Salam Campus has qualified female Quran teachers at all UK time slots, including evenings and weekends. Each one holds a Tajweed certificate. Each one has taught children and adults online.

Ask for a female teacher when you book your trial. We will match one for the trial lesson itself. This way you can be sure she is the right fit before you join. Female tutors teach each course we offer, from Noorani Qaida to Hifz (memorising the Quran) and Tafsir. The camera can be on or off, as your family prefers.

Learning Around the UK School Year and Ramadan

The UK school year has half-terms, exam weeks and a long summer break. What a family can manage changes from month to month. So we build the timetable around it:

You can change your plan with 1 week's notice. You can pause for a month without losing your tutor. When you come back, you start at the same level. The aim is steady progress over years, not a rush of lessons followed by a long gap.

  • In GCSE and A-level exam season, a student can drop to 1 class a week, then go back to 3
  • In the summer holidays, many families add lessons or move them to the morning
  • In Ramadan, classes can move to after Fajr (the dawn prayer) or after Taraweeh (the night prayer) if you ask

Our Quran Teachers: Qualified, Vetted and Consistent

Each tutor for UK students has formal training in Quran reading and Tajweed. Before joining, each one is interviewed and tested on their reading. Each one also teaches a trial lesson while we watch. We look for patience and clear teaching as much as knowledge. A bored 9-year-old may need a rule explained 3 different ways. A teacher who can do that is worth more than one who only knows the rule.

Your child gets one tutor and keeps that tutor for the whole course. If the teacher is ever away, another tutor takes the class with full notes. So nothing is lost. Many of our teachers speak Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali or Arabic as well as English. This helps when grandparents want to follow the lesson.

How to Start Online Quran Classes in the UK

Starting takes a few minutes and costs nothing. Most families have their first regular lesson within a few days of getting in touch. Families who want daily memorising classes can also look at our Hifz classes online for UK students.

The trial is a real lesson, not a sales call. The tutor checks the student's level and teaches for the full half hour. Then the tutor tells you honestly which course fits and how many classes a week make sense. If the match is not right, ask us about a second trial with a different tutor. There are no forms to sign. You give no card details until you choose to join.

  • Book a free trial through the form, WhatsApp or our UK phone number
  • Tell us the student's age, level, preferred days and any tutor preference
  • We match a tutor and confirm a 30-minute trial at a time in UK hours
  • Attend the trial, ask questions, and decide whether to continue
  • Choose a monthly plan in GBP and keep the same teacher going forward
