Online Quran Courses for Kids & Adults

All Online Quran Courses

Nine live, one-on-one courses taught by certified male and female tutors. Open any course for its curriculum, duration and fees.

Online Quran Courses for Every Level

Many people who look for online Quran courses are not sure which one they need. That is normal. Our 9 courses are really one path split into stages. A few extra subjects run alongside it. Each student starts at a different point on the same path. A beginner starts with the first letters. A reader may need to fix their Tajweed (the rules of correct reading). A teenager may be ready to memorize. An adult may want to understand what they recite.

The format never changes. Each class is a private, live, 30-minute lesson. You have the same tutor every time. There are no recordings to watch and no group calls to sit through. The tutor listens, corrects and explains. You move to the next stage when your reading is ready, not when a calendar says so.

How to Choose the Right Online Quran Course

Ask one question first. Can the student open the Quran and read a line, even slowly? If not, start with Noorani Qaida (the first book for learning Arabic letters). If yes, but the reading is slow or the rules are unclear, start with Quran Reading with Tajweed. If the reading is already good, choose a goal. Pick Hifz (memorizing the Quran), Tafsir (learning its meaning) or Ten Qirat (advanced styles of recitation). Or pick Arabic to understand the language itself.

Still not sure? Book a free trial and let the tutor place the student. A short reading test in the first lesson tells us more than any form. And changing courses later costs nothing.

  • Cannot read Arabic yet: Noorani Qaida
  • Reads slowly or with mistakes: Quran Reading with Tajweed
  • Reads well and wants to memorize: Quran Memorization (Hifz)
  • Wants meaning and context: Tafsir Course
  • Advanced reciter: Ten Qirat
  • Wants the language: Arabic Language

The Learning Path: Qaida to Reading, Tajweed and Hifz

Noorani Qaida takes 3 to 6 months, with 2 or 3 classes a week. It covers letters, harakat (short vowel marks), joining and madd (long vowel sounds). It also covers the first Tajweed sounds. Quran Reading with Tajweed comes next. It usually takes a year or more. The goal is to read any page fluently and correctly, not just the surahs you already know.

After that, the path splits. Hifz students follow a daily routine. Each day has a new lesson, recent revision and old revision. The tutor tracks it all, so nothing memorized is lost. Other students go on to Tafsir, Arabic or Ten Qirat. Prayer Lessons, Daily Supplications and Islamic Studies for Kids can run alongside at any stage. They are often added to the same class time.

Online Quran Courses for Kids

Children can start Qaida from age 4. Lessons are 25 to 30 minutes long. They use repetition, praise and short tasks. Our tutors are trained to keep a young child interested over video. They slow down when the child starts to lose focus. Parents can sit in. After each class, a note tells you what was covered and what to practice.

Older children add Quran reading, short surahs, daily duas (short prayers) and salah (the daily prayer). Teenagers can move into Hifz. They can also take Islamic studies that answer the questions teens really ask. See the full kids' program on our online Quran classes for kids page.

Online Quran Courses for Adults

Adults are a large part of our students. Some are parents who never finished Qaida. Some are professionals who can read but want proper Tajweed. Others are new Muslims starting from the first letter. The one-on-one format matters most here. Nobody is watching you, and nobody rushes you. The tutor changes the pace and the examples to suit a grown learner.

Popular adult routes are Qaida then Tajweed, or Tafsir for those who can already read. Arabic suits anyone who wants to understand the Quran without a translation. We have evening and weekend classes in every time zone we serve.

Quran Courses with Female Teachers

Every course on this page is taught by female tutors as well as male tutors. Sisters and girls just ask for a female teacher when they book the trial. Our female tutors have the same qualifications as our male tutors. They follow the same course plan. The same quality team checks their classes.

Schedule and Fees for Online Quran Courses

Fees are the same for every course except Hifz. Hifz has its own plan. Each class is 30 minutes long. We bill monthly, and there is no registration fee. The list below shows the prices in US dollars. You can find prices in GBP, CAD and AUD on the fees page.

You choose fixed weekly class times in your local time, including weekends. You can change the number of classes, or pause, with 1 week's notice. Weekend classes cost the same as weekday classes.

  • 2 classes a week: $40 a month
  • 3 classes a week: $54 a month
  • 4 classes a week: $71 a month
  • 5 classes a week: $88 a month
  • Hifz plan with 5 classes a week: $175 a month

Certificates and Progress Reports

A student who finishes a course and passes the final test gets a Salam Campus certificate for that course. Along the way, parents and adult students get a short written report each month. It comes from our quality team. It covers reading accuracy and Tajweed. For Hifz students, it also shows how much they have memorized and kept.

Some students reach a high level of recitation or complete Hifz. They can then join the Online Ijazah Course. There, an approved Sheikh listens to their full recitation. The Sheikh then gives them Ijazah (a certificate with an unbroken chain of teachers).

What a Class Looks Like

You join a video call at your fixed time. The tutor shows the Qaida or Quran page on screen. The tutor reads, and you repeat. Mistakes are fixed right away. In the last few minutes, the tutor goes over the lesson and sets a small practice task. Soon after, a lesson note appears in your student portal.
