Can I Get a Male Quran Teacher for My Son?

Yes. Pick "Male teacher" on the free trial form, and we match your son with a male tutor. The same teacher takes every class, so he learns which letters your son finds hard. A trained backup teacher steps in only when he is away.

Many boys start with a female teacher when they are small. As they grow, some families move them to a male tutor. Tell us when you are ready. Your son's progress record moves with him.

  • Parents may join any class. Keep the device in a shared room, so you can hear the lesson.
  • After each class, the teacher writes you a short note. You also get a written report each month.

Can Adult Men Learn With a Male Tutor?

Yes. Brothers of any age and any level are welcome. Some start from the first Arabic letter. Others can read, and want to fix their Tajweed. Tajweed is the set of rules for saying each letter the right way. Some want to learn the Quran by heart, or learn what it means.

Long work days are no problem. Book a class before work, at lunch or late at night. New Muslims are welcome too. Your tutor goes at your pace and never rushes you.

How Do We Check Each Male Teacher?

Every teacher passes the same 5 steps before he teaches: document check, recitation test, teaching test, interview and trial month. See each step.

Each tutor is a Hafiz, a Qari or an Alim. A Hafiz knows the whole Quran by heart. A Qari is an expert reciter. An Alim is an Islamic scholar.

  • We check his papers, his ID and any Ijazah against the originals. An Ijazah is a license to teach the Quran.
  • A senior teacher marks a recording of his recitation for correct Tajweed.
  • In the interview, we look at how he treats children.
  • In his first month, we review his classes every week.
  • We record every class. Each month, our quality team listens to some of each teacher's classes.

What Times Can I Book a Male Teacher?

Any time you like. Classes run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We set each class in your own time zone. Weekend classes cost the same.

Say your son learns Noorani Qaida after school. His class could be at 4 pm, Tuesday to Friday. His dad could take his own class at 9 pm on the same days. Each of them has his own teacher and his own plan.

Every class is 30 minutes long, for every age. Teachers explain in English, Arabic or Urdu.

Should I Choose a Male or a Female Teacher?

Both pass the same checks and teach every course. Pick what feels right for your family.

  • Many families choose a male tutor for sons as they grow, and for fathers and brothers.
  • Some parents prefer a female Quran teacher for young children, daughters or mothers.

How Much Does a Male Quran Teacher Cost?

Each one is a Hafiz, a Qari or an Alim. Teachers for Hifz and Ijazah classes hold an Ijazah in Hafs an Asim. We check each certificate against the original.

The tutor's camera is on. Your camera helps on hard letters, because the tutor can see your mouth. Sisters may keep their camera off, and the tutor corrects by ear.

Yes. We record every class and keep it safe for a limited time. Our quality team uses it to check the teaching. We can also play it back if a parent has a worry. Only our quality team and coordinators can see it, and we never publish it. Do not want it? Tell us in writing, and we turn it off.

Yes. Male Hafiz tutors teach Hifz to boys from age 7 and to men who read the Quran well. The Hifz plan has 20 classes a month and costs $123 a month (30% off the regular $175).

Yes. Our teachers explain in English, Arabic or Urdu. Tell us your language when you book, and we match you with a teacher who speaks it.
