Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance at an Online Quran Academy

Your child's class happens on a video call in your home. You can hear it. But it is hard to judge it. Is the Tajweed (the rules of correct recitation) right? Is the speed right? Is the teacher following a plan? Our quality checks answer these questions for you. We have a special team. Their only job is to check the teaching.

Our quality checks have 6 parts. We explain each one below.

  • We test every teacher before they teach.
  • We record every class.
  • We review those recordings often.
  • Your teacher writes a report every month.
  • You can join any class.
  • You have a clear way to complain or change teacher.

How We Screen Online Quran Teachers

Fewer than 1 in 10 people who apply get a job with us. Every teacher goes through the same 5 steps. They do this before they teach even 1 student.

  • Document check: we check their qualifications and ID against the original papers. If they say they have an Ijazah (a teaching license from a qualified teacher), we check that certificate too.
  • Recitation test: they record set passages of the Quran. A senior teacher marks the recording for correct Tajweed.
  • Teaching test: they teach a live beginner lesson to a member of our teaching team.
  • Interview: we check their spoken English and how they treat children. We also check that they understand our lesson plans.
  • Trial month: we review their first month of real classes every week. Only then do we confirm them as a teacher.

Class Recording and Review

We record every class. We store the recordings safely for a limited time. Each month, our reviewers pick some of each teacher's classes at random. They listen and give each class a score. They check these 4 things:

A low score means the teacher gets extra training. We also watch their classes more closely. If the scores stay low, the teacher is removed.

Recordings also protect students and parents. Maybe you are worried about something in a class. We can go back and listen to it with you.

  • Is the Tajweed correct?
  • Does the teacher use the full class time?
  • Does the teacher follow the lesson plan?
  • Does the teacher treat the student well?

Monthly Progress Reports for Parents

In the first week of every month, your teacher writes a report. The report covers these points:

Reports for children go to the parent. Adults get their own report.

Our quality team reads every report. They check it against the class recordings. So a report cannot say everything is fine when a class was not.

  • What your child learned
  • What they achieved compared to the goal
  • How often they came to class
  • The Tajweed mistakes the teacher is fixing
  • What the teacher suggests for next month

Parent Access to Every Class

You can sit in on any class. You do not need to tell us first. Many parents do this in the first few weeks.

You can also ask for the progress sheet at any time. It shows the lesson and revision done each day.

We hide nothing about the teaching from you. A teacher who does not want a parent to listen is not the right teacher for us.

Complaints and Changing Your Teacher

If something is wrong, we want to know fast. You can tell us in 3 ways. Send a message to your coordinator. Email us. Or use the contact form.

Here is what happens next. We reply to every complaint within 1 working day. Someone other than the teacher looks into it. We give you a written answer within 5 working days. If the recording shows a problem, we fix it. If it shows the class was fine, we tell you that honestly too.

You can change teacher at any time, for any reason. It is free. Tell us what you want. You may want a different teaching style, a female teacher, or a different language. We will set up a trial with a new teacher within a week. Your progress sheet moves with you. So you do not repeat any lessons.

Standards Every Salam Campus Class Must Meet

Our reviewers check every recording against these basic rules.

  • The teacher is on time. The student gets the full 30 minutes.
  • The lesson follows the plan. The teacher updates the progress sheet the same day.
  • Tajweed mistakes are fixed correctly. The teacher explains each fix and does not just repeat it.
  • The teacher speaks to children with patience and kind words.
  • Missed classes are moved to another day in the same month.
  • The teacher's camera and sound are clear. The room is quiet.

How Quality Assurance Protects Your Fees

Quality checks are not only about teaching. We log every class. This protects your money in these ways:

If you need a new teacher or a pause, you do not lose money.

The best way to see all of this is to try it. Book a free trial and meet a teacher. Ask the coordinator anything about how we check our work.

  • Your bill matches the classes you really got.
  • If the teacher is away, we give you the class back for free.
  • Paid classes you did not use are refunded under our refund policy.
  • You never pay for a class the teacher missed.
