Online Quran Teacher Jobs at Salam Campus

We are an online Quran academy. We teach children and adults one-to-one. We grow by adding good teachers. Do you know Tajweed (the rules of correct recitation) well? Are you patient with beginners? Do you have a quiet place to teach from? Then we would like to hear from you.

We have jobs for both male and female teachers. We also want teachers who can teach in English, Urdu or Arabic.

Most of our teachers stay with us for years. Why? Because we do the hard parts of freelance work for you. This leaves you free to teach. We take care of these jobs:

  • Finding new students for you
  • Collecting payments from families
  • Planning and managing your class times

What We Look for in an Online Quran Tutor

You do not need to be a scholar. But you must know what you teach very well. You must also be at ease on a video call. Here is what we need:

  • Correct Quran recitation with good Tajweed. An Ijazah (a teaching license from a qualified teacher) in Hafs an Asim is a big plus. You need it to teach Hifz (memorizing the Quran) and Ijazah courses.
  • You can teach Noorani Qaida (the first reading book) and Quran reading to total beginners. This includes young children.
  • Clear spoken English. Most of our students live in English-speaking countries. Urdu and Arabic are a bonus.
  • A formal Islamic education. This can be a Dars-e-Nizami course, a university degree in Islamic studies, or a known Tajweed qualification.
  • At least 1 year of teaching, online or in person. New graduates with strong recitation can apply for junior roles.
  • A good computer or tablet, a headset, stable internet, and a quiet room with good light.

Quran Teacher Jobs Online: Hours and Schedule

Our students live in North America, the UK and Australia. Most of them want classes in their afternoon and evening. You choose fixed blocks of time each week when you are free to teach. Most teachers give at least 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. We then place students into those blocks. Once you get a class time, it stays yours every week. So your timetable does not keep changing.

Full-time teachers usually teach 6 to 8 hours a day. Part-time teachers can start with 4 hours a day. Many part-time teachers are students or mothers at home. We are always glad to get weekend hours. Weekend slots fill up fast.

How Online Quran Teachers Are Paid

Our pay is good for this kind of work. We pay you for each class you teach. So the more hours you teach, the more you earn. We pay you once a month, on a fixed date. We pay by bank transfer or by a payment service that works in your country.

Your rate goes up over time. It rises with these things:

We never charge teachers a sign-up fee or a platform fee. If a student misses a class without telling us, we still pay you. If a student leaves, we give you a new student in that time. You are not left with an empty hour.

  • Your years of experience
  • How long your students stay with you
  • Your qualifications, such as an Ijazah

What the Job Involves Day to Day

You teach one student at a time. Each class is 30 minutes. Each student has a lesson plan and a progress sheet. You update the sheet after every class. Once a month, you write a short report for each student's parents.

Our quality team watches recorded classes and gives you feedback. A coordinator is there during your working hours. They help if anything goes wrong with the technology.

You may teach these courses, based on your qualifications:

  • Noorani Qaida
  • Quran reading with Tajweed
  • Hifz
  • Tafsir (the meaning and explanation of the Quran)
  • Arabic
  • Islamic studies for children
  • Daily Duas (short prayers) and Salah (prayer) lessons
