Learn Daily Supplications Online with a Live Tutor

A Muslim's day is full of small moments to remember Allah. You say a few words when you wake up. You say a short line before you eat. You say a dua (a short prayer to Allah) at the door before you go out. The Quran and the Hadith (the sayings of the Prophet, peace be upon him) keep dozens of these duas. Most of them take less than 10 seconds to say.

Finding the duas is rarely the hard part. The hard part is knowing them so well that they come out without thinking. This course helps you do that. A Salam Campus tutor teaches you or your child the daily duas one by one. The course takes 2 to 4 months. Each class is live and one-on-one. The tutor fixes your sounds right away. Each line is explained before you learn it by heart. Students in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia take the same course at times that suit their day.

What You Will Learn

The course plan follows a normal day. Then it moves on to duas for times that come up less often. Every dua comes from a known Hadith book, and your tutor will tell you which one. Here is what you will learn:

  • Waking up, going to bed, and the duas said in between
  • Before and after meals, and when drinking water or milk
  • Morning and evening adhkar (words of remembrance) for protection
  • Leaving home, coming home and greeting your family
  • Entering and leaving the masjid (mosque)
  • Before and after wudu (washing for prayer), and entering or leaving the washroom
  • Sneezing, replying to someone who sneezes, and visiting the sick
  • Travelling, getting into a car or bus, and seeing the new moon
  • Rain, thunder, hard times and giving thanks
  • Short duas from the Quran, with their meanings in English

Daily Duas Course Online for Kids and Adults

Children and adults learn in different ways. So the tutor teaches the same duas to each in a different way. A 6-year-old repeats a line after the tutor and sings it back. Then the child hears a 2-line story about when the Prophet, peace be upon him, said it. An adult sees the full Arabic text on screen. The adult also gets a word-by-word meaning. The tutor adds a short note on what Hadith scholars say about when the dua was said.

Both groups reach the same goal. They can say each dua from memory, with the right sounds. They also know what they are asking Allah for. Parents often join young children for the first few classes. Once the routine is set, the child carries on alone.

How Online Classes Work at Salam Campus

Every class is 30 minutes, live and one-on-one on Zoom or Google Meet. Your tutor shares a screen with the dua in clear Arabic. Beginners also see the dua in English letters, with its meaning in English. You read the dua aloud. The tutor listens and fixes any mistakes. Each class ends with a quick review of all you have learned so far.

You choose the days and times. Our teachers work in shifts across time zones. So an evening class in Toronto is normal. So is a Saturday morning in Manchester or an after-school hour in Sydney. If you miss a class and tell us first, we move it to a new time. You do not lose it.

Between classes, the tutor sends you 2 things. You can use them to listen and repeat during the week:

  • The day's dua as text
  • A short audio clip of the dua

Learn Daily Supplications Online Step by Step

The first lesson starts with the shortest duas that you say most often. These are the duas for waking up, eating and sleeping. You say them many times each day, so they stick fast. This gives a new student a quick sense of progress. Next, the tutor adds the duas for the home and the masjid. Then come the morning and evening adhkar. These are longer and need more practice.

The tutor adds new duas only when you can say the last set from memory. Nothing is rushed to meet a date. Most students take 2 to 4 months at 3 classes a week. That is why we give 2 to 4 months as the usual course length.

Who This Course Is For

Families enrol children from about 4 years old. Most of these children also study Noorani Qaida (a first book for Arabic letters). This way the child learns letters and duas side by side. You do not need to know any Arabic. If you cannot read the script yet, the tutor uses English letters until you can.

Grandparents have joined too. There is no top age limit. There is no test to pass before you start. The course is also a good fit for these people:

  • Teenagers who learned a few duas years ago and want to learn the rest
  • Adults who are new to Islam and want a first course that changes daily habits right away
  • Parents who want to lead the family in the daily adhkar but are not sure of their own Arabic sounds

Why Meaning Matters as Much as Memorisation

It is easy to drop a dua you do not understand. Think of the dua before sleep. It asks Allah to protect you through the night. The dua for leaving the house puts your trust in Allah for the trip. When you know this, the words feel like talking to Allah. They are no longer just sounds you repeat.

So every dua in this course is taught with its meaning, even to young children. Before moving on, the tutor asks the student to explain the dua in their own words. Older students also hear a short story about when each dua was first taught. A dua linked to a moment in the Prophet's life is much easier to remember. A dua learned from a list is easy to forget.

Islamic Supplication Course for Beginners

Some beginners worry that they must read Arabic on day one. You do not. A complete beginner can start right away. The tutor says the dua, and you repeat it. The English letters stay on screen until the Arabic letters start to make sense. Students who take Noorani Qaida at the same time usually stop needing English letters within a few weeks.

From the first lesson, the tutor fixes your sounds gently but every time. Some Arabic sounds are hard for English speakers. Examples are the heavy ha, ain and qaf. You practise each sound on its own first. Then you practise it inside the dua. This stops small mistakes from turning into habits.

Learn Duas Online: A Sample 4-Week Plan

After the first month, the pace depends on the student. Longer adhkar and duas for special times come next. The tutor keeps a progress sheet, and parents can ask for it at any time. Here is how a usual first month looks:

  • Week 1: duas for waking up, sleeping and meals
  • Week 2: duas for leaving and entering the home, the washroom and wudu
  • Week 3: the masjid duas and the shorter morning and evening adhkar
  • Week 4: review. You say every dua learned so far while the tutor listens. A short spoken quiz checks the meanings.

Fees for Daily Supplication Classes

This course uses the same monthly plans as every other Salam Campus course. 3 classes a week, 30 minutes each, cost USD 54 per month. You can also choose 2, 4 or 5 classes a week. We bill monthly in USD, GBP, CAD or AUD. There is no sign-up fee and no long contract. See the full table on our quran learning fees page at /quran-learning-fees/.

Pair Duas with Your Quran Course

Most students learn daily duas next to another course, not on their own. Just 10 minutes of dua practice at the end of a Noorani Qaida or Quran reading class is enough. The first class is a free trial, so you can meet the teacher before you decide. You can take duas in one of 2 ways:

  • Ask your tutor to add 10 minutes of duas to your current class. This costs nothing extra.
  • Book duas as its own course if you want the full 30 minutes, at the standard monthly fee.

Try a free class. You risk nothing.

It is hard to choose a Quran teacher online. So we made the first step free. Every step after it is easy to undo.

Parents may join any class. You can listen in from the next chair.

Our promise to every family

  • The trial class is free. We never ask for card details to book it.
  • Not the right teacher? Ask us about a second trial with a different teacher.
  • No sign-up fee and no contract. You pay one month at a time.
  • Changed your mind? Ask within 7 days of paying. We refund every class you have not taken.
  • Pause or stop with 1 week's notice. You do not pay for paused weeks.
  • If your teacher misses a class, you get it back, or a cover teacher takes it. This is free.
  • Want a new teacher later? Just ask. We set up a trial with the new teacher within a week.
  • A female teacher or a weekend class costs the same.
  • Teaching more than one child? The second and third child pay a lower fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every dua in the course comes from the Quran or from trusted Hadith books. These include Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi. Your tutor names the source for each dua. We do not teach duas that have a weak or disputed chain of narrators.

Most children start at 4 or 5. By then they can sit for a short class and repeat after a teacher. Lessons for this age are cut into small parts, with lots of practice and praise. A parent is welcome to sit in. Some younger children cannot focus for 30 minutes yet. They can take shorter classes together with Noorani Qaida.

No. Beginners follow the Arabic in English letters and the tutor's voice until they can read the script. Many adults take this course together with Noorani Qaida. They find that the duas they know by heart become the easiest Arabic to read. If you already read Arabic, the tutor skips the English letters. You work straight from the Arabic text.

At 3 classes a week, most students learn the main daily duas in about 2 months. They learn the wider set, with the morning and evening adhkar, within 4 months. Children who practise at home with a parent often finish faster. There is no fixed end date. You stop when you and your tutor agree the duas are firm in your memory.

Yes. Salam Campus has qualified female teachers for this course. You can ask for one when you book your free trial. Many families in the UK, Canada and the USA prefer a female tutor for daughters or for adult women. We keep this choice for the whole course, not just the first class.

You can do either. Maybe you already study Noorani Qaida, Quran reading or Hifz (memorising the Quran). If so, ask your tutor to add 10 minutes of duas at the end of each class. This costs nothing extra. If you want full 30-minute dua classes, book it as its own course at the standard monthly fee.
