Why Vancouver Families Learn Quran Online

The Muslim community in Vancouver is spread across the whole Lower Mainland. It stretches from Surrey and Burnaby to Richmond and the North Shore. The class you want may be a long drive away. You may have to cross a bridge on a rainy night. Online lessons remove the trip. A child in Coquitlam and a child in Kitsilano can have the same private teacher. Both get the same high standard.

Time zones are the other reason. Most online Quran schools plan their classes around Eastern time or overseas hours. That leaves Pacific-time students with slots that do not fit. Quran Classes for Kids in Vancouver

Vancouver children are home from school by mid-afternoon. A 30-minute lesson before dinner is easier to keep up than a long weekend class across town. Beginners start with Noorani Qaida (a first book for Arabic letters and sounds). They learn letters, vowels and how letters join. They work toward short reading goals. As soon as they are able, they move on to reading from the Quran itself.

Parents can sit in on any lesson. After each one, you get a short note. It says what the class covered and what to practise. Some children move on to Hifz (learning the Quran by heart). They keep the same teacher. The teacher logs each verse they learn and each verse they revise. So a spring break or a summer abroad does not undo months of work.

Class Times for Vancouver Students (Pacific Time)

Vancouver is 3 hours behind Toronto. So we plan our teachers just for Pacific time. All of these times are in your local time:

Courses Vancouver Students Choose Most

Children in Vancouver most often start with Noorani Qaida. Next they take Quran Reading with Tajweed. Some families then join the Hifz programme with the same teacher. Adults most often start by fixing their Tajweed. Then they take Tafsir (the meaning of the verses) or Arabic. This helps them know what they read. Islamic studies, daily Duas (short prayers) and Salah (prayer) lessons fill out a younger child's week.

Quran Class Fees in Vancouver

The 3 classes / week plan costs $72 a month. That gives you 12 live 30-minute classes. We bill it each month in CAD. We also have plans with 2, 4 or 5 classes a week, and a Hifz plan. Your first class is free.
