Can You Keep Your Quran Classes in Ramadan?

Yes. You can keep your Quran classes in Ramadan, move them to new times, or pause them. Classes at Salam Campus run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in your own time zone. So a class can go after iftar or at another time that suits you. Tell us what you want.

This page is for you if:

  • You learn with us now and wonder what to do in Ramadan.
  • You want your child to learn short surahs and duas in the month.
  • You are an adult who wants to read more Quran in Ramadan.
  • You do Hifz and want to use the month to revise.
  • You are new to us and want to start before Ramadan.

When Does Ramadan 1448 Start?

Ramadan 1448 is expected to start on Monday 8 February 2027. This is an expected date, not a final one. The moon decides the real first day. In some places it may be a day later.

Two sources give the same expected date. The timeanddate.com Ramadan page marks 8 February 2027 as a tentative date. The Wego Ramadan 2027 guide says the final dates depend on the new moon being seen after sunset on Sunday 7 February 2027.

Please ask your local mosque a few days before. We do not set the date. Ramadan has 29 or 30 days. The plans on this page count 8 February 2027 as day 1. If your mosque starts a day later, move every plan by one day.

Keep, Move or Pause: Your Three Choices

You do not need a new plan for Ramadan. Your class time stays yours. These are the three choices:

Keep, move or pause your Quran classes in Ramadan
ChoiceWhat it meansWhat to do
KeepYour classes stay on the same days and times. They are still live and one-on-one, with the same length.Nothing. Your plan carries on as it is.
MoveYour classes go to new times, for example after iftar. Classes run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in your own time zone.Tell us your new days and times at least 1 week before the change. We will try to help at shorter notice, but we cannot promise it.
PauseYou stop classes for a time and start again later.Give us 1 week's notice. See our refund policy for the details.

A weekend class costs the same as a weekday class, so a Saturday or Sunday time is a fair choice for the month. Changed your mind after paying? Ask within 7 days of paying, and we refund every class you have not taken.

Class-Time Ideas for Ramadan in Four Cities

Iftar is when you break your fast at sunset. Some families like a class after iftar. Others like a quiet class before suhoor, the meal before dawn. The table shows the expected sunset time in four cities on 8 February 2027, the expected first day. The times come from the sun tables on timeanddate.com for New York, Toronto, London and Sydney.

The class-time idea starts about an hour after iftar. That leaves time to break the fast, pray and eat first. It is an idea, not a fixed time and not a promise:

Expected iftar time and a class-time idea on 8 February 2027
CityExpected iftar (sunset)A class-time ideaOur office in Islamabad (PKT)
New York (Eastern Time)5:22 pm6:30 pm4:30 am the next day

London (GMT)5:02 pm6:00 pm11:00 pm
Sydney (summer time, AEDT)7:55 pm9:00 pm3:00 pm

Sunset time changes a little every day, and the first day may change, so check your own timetable. Not in one of these cities? Look up sunset for your city, add about an hour, and tell us the time you would like. We will check it.

Classes run 24 hours a day, so any other time can work too, such as a weekend morning or a time before school. You are not limited to the ideas in this table.

Ramadan Goals for Each Kind of Learner

A Simple Plan to Get Ready

You do not need much time to get ready. Here is a simple order:

  • Step 1: Ask your local mosque for the date a few days before Ramadan. This page counts 8 February 2027 as day 1.
  • Step 2: Choose to keep, move or pause your classes.
  • Step 3: If you want new times, tell us at least 1 week before the change. For a change that starts on 8 February 2027, that means by about 1 February 2027.
  • Step 4: Pick one goal from the table above for each learner.
  • Step 5: Print the free planner or the kids' chart, and put it where you see it each day.
  • Step 6: After Eid, go back to your usual times or keep the new ones. Just tell us which.
